ECITB maintains a range of Training Standards covering Design, Project Controls and other behavioural areas.  Training Providers can develop their own courses to meet these Standards, with ECITB approval demonstrating that they meet an industry-set standard.

Training Standards are available in the areas of Diversity & Inclusion, Human Performance, Root Cause Analysis, Commercial Awareness, Commissioning & Start-up, Design & Draughting and Project Controls.

The full list of Training Standards is contained in our catalogue here

To deliver courses against these Standards providers will need to become an ECITB Approved Training Provider (ATP) with a Training Standards licence and register their trainers to show they have appropriate knowledge, skills and experience to deliver training in the selected area(s).  Their courses can then be approved by ECITB through the Provider Course Approval Scheme (PCAS).

“The ECITB is truly valued as part of the team”

Head and shoulders portrait picture of Andrew Riley Director of Mecatherm West Midlands

“As our company has grown the ECITB has supported our staff to receive high level management qualifications using our preferred training provider. As well as maintaining our existing technical training, we are now continually upgrading our management training from the Chairman down. In that time the company’s turnover has more than doubled.   It is certain that without the support of the ECITB we could not have funded the level of training that we need to build Mechatherm.  The ECITB is truly valued by us and we look on them as part of the team.”
