The September 2025 edition of Engineering Magazine features a 24-page supplement showcasing the work being done to help deliver the training and skills industry needs.
In the ECITB Training Special Edition, there is an introduction to the role of the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) and how we’re working alongside a network of approved training providers and approved centres.
The pull-out features a wide range of different providers, with the articles contained showcasing the training they deliver across a multitude of areas.
The edition highlights that around 40,000 people attend at least one of the ECITB’s training courses or tests in Britain each year, which are developed in partnership with industry and delivered by these providers and centres.
In his introduction in the supplement, ECITB Chief Executive Andrew Hockey highlights the growing demand for workers in the engineering construction industry (ECI), as showcased by findings in the 2024 ECITB Workforce Census and the latest predictions made by our Labour Forecasting Tool.
Andrew said: “As part of our Leading Industry Learning strategy, the ECITB works to ensure that the ECI has the skilled workers it needs to meet current and future demand.
“We aim to support industry growth by attracting and developing the next generation, delivering industry-leading standards, qualifications and competence assurance and helping employers retain and upskill a flexible and transferable workforce.”
Featured in the pull-out are articles and promotional material showcasing Train4All, CATCH, Organic P&O Solutions, GO FORTH, Rewards Training, Kingsfield Academy, 3t Training Services, University of Aberdeen, EEMUA, Comet, Nuclear Technology Education Consortium (NTEC) and the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA).
Also showcased is the CCNSG Safety Passport, which has been the go-to safety card for the engineering construction industry for more than 30 years.
