The ECITB has opened the tendering process for the 2027 intake of scholars and is inviting training organisations to submit applications to deliver these.

2027 Scholarship tender pathways and regions – now closed
The opportunities to deliver a range of scholarship discipline pathways across England and Scotland were available to view on the government’s Find a Tender Service. These are now closed.
Organisations could submit offers for individual, multiple or all pathways within the region.

- Northwest England – Cumbria: Level 2 Rigging (1 Yr)
- Northwest England – Cumbria: Level 2 Mechanical (1 Yr)
- Northeast England: Level 2 Pipefitting (1 Yr)
- Humberside: Level 2 Pipefitting (1 Yr)

- Nuclear – Southwest: Level 2 Pipefitting (1 Yr)

- London and Thames Valley: Level 3 Design and Draughting (2 Yr)
NESCol in Scotland and Pembrokeshire College in Wales are currently delivering programmes for multi discipline energy technicians and Level 2 Fabrication/Welding respectively as part of a three-cohort contract until 2027.

“The ECITB Workforce Census 2024 reinforces the scale of the challenge facing the engineering construction industry (ECI) to ensure it has the thousands of additional skilled workers needed to meet future demand.
“We engage employers across the nations and regions in the development of all our new entrant programmes to ensure we are equipping learners with the skills and knowledge industry needs.”
