Thank you to all the companies who took part in the ECI Workforce Census. Data analysis is underway and we look forward to sharing the findings later in the year.

Chris Claydon, ECITB Chief Executive, said: “I am very pleased to say that we have had an excellent rate of return from our in-scope companies, with around 50% providing data and feedback. The returns represent a good spread of employers across all regions and sectors and will provide a unique insight into the current ECI workforce.
“Our Research Team is now working hard to cleanse the data before beginning work on the data analysis. This piece of work will give not only the ECITB, but all our stakeholders, critical insights into the make-up and future direction of our industry and will allow for evidence based initiatives and interventions. It will also put us in a much stronger position in our increasing dialogue with Government departments about the state of engineering construction post-pandemic and post-Brexit.
“We will publish a series of reports over the coming months, starting with an overview of the data across the ECI to be published at the end of July. More detailed and specialised reports will follow later in the year, looking at sectors or geographic areas as the data permits. We will share these reports on our website and social media as well as through our regional forums.”
