Enter the learner’s surname and certificate/card number (see below example)
NOTE: If you are an ACE cardholder or validating someone’s ACE Card credentials, this is done through CSCS via the link below:

Valid cards and certificates
If this is correct, the learner’s name, qualification or course title and certification date will be displayed with the heading ‘Certificate is valid’ (like the example pictured).
If the course has an expiry date, such as the CCNSG Safety Passport, this will also be shown.
When a card has expired it will display ‘Certificate is valid, but has expired’.
Cardholders must renew their safety passport before the expiry date or retake the two-day CCNSG national course. Read more information on renewing CCNSG Safety Passports
Invalid cards and certificates
If the information does not match or the certificate is now invalid (for example due to a replacement certificate having been issued) a message will appear saying that there is a problem and it couldn’t find a certificate that matches the details.
What to do if a certificate or card is found to be invalid
There could be several reasons that a card or certificate is found to be invalid.
Check the information that you have input is correct. If it is correct, email us on the relevant email addresses below to enable us to check this for you:
- For regulated qualification certificates: qualifications@ecitb.org.uk
- For CCNSG Safety Passports: safetypassport@ecitb.org.uk
- For other course certificates: programmeadmin@ecitb.org.uk
If you suspect fraud
If an employer suspects a card or certificate is fraudulent they should email a photo of the card with the date and location/site it was presented to: compliance@ecitb.org.uk
The incident will be investigated and the appropriate action will be taken. This may include handing evidence to the relevant authorities if criminal activity is suspected.
