In January this year Total ABK-VEDC Academy in Abu Dhabi became an ECITB Approved Training Provider for the delivery of ECITB International Apprenticeships.
Total ABK-VEDC has been a pioneering force for vocational training for the Oil and Gas sector within Abu Dhabi for a number of years.
Dr Tony Featherstone, ECITB International Operations and Commercial director said:
“We’re delighted to have such a high profile, professional organisation as Total ABK using ECITB ICE Vocational Qualifications for its graduates within Abu Dhabi.”
Mr Laurent Stephane Total ABK Academy manager said:
”We have been looking for an efficient and internationally recognised suite of qualifications for the Oil and Gas Industry to certify our graduates. The ECITB ICE Vocational Qualifications matches our requirements in structure, content and ease of use. We’re pleased to be working with the ECITB and look forward to a long mutually beneficial relationship between the two organisations.”
This new approval is seen as an important step in promoting internationally recognised qualifications and supporting sustainable development of young Emiratis in the region.
The basis of the ECITBs international business is for its globally recognised training programmes and qualifications to be delivered by ECITB Approved Training Providers in the country of choice delivering a quality product, using quality methods, staff and equipment in a quality environment.
This process is further enhanced by linking ECITB global qualifications with locally recognised training programmes and qualifications to ensure that successful learners graduate from one common training programme and assessment process with two valid qualifications-one for the international market and one for the local market.
