The ECITB is launching a consultation on our approach to grant support and is seeking the views of our in-scope employers and other stakeholders, including training providers.
We routinely review our approach to grants. Following the publication of the Government’s review into the Industrial Training Boards in November, the ECITB is undertaking a wider review into grant policy and the process for claiming and receiving grants. We want to ensure our grants remain relevant to the needs of employers and the process for applying and receiving grants is as straightforward as possible.
The consultation will run from 6th February to 29th March. It will give employers and other stakeholders the opportunity to comment on the ECITB grant policy and process in order to inform the ECITB of:
· The suitability of the current ECITB grants in meeting the skills needs of industry
· Grant funding processes (namely how employers apply for and receive grants)
· How grant funding should be prioritised in the future.
To find out more about the consultation and to preview the questions download the Grant Consultation Report from the bottom of this page.
Chris Claydon, Chief Executive of the ECITB, said: “We are inviting in-scope employers, employer associations, training providers and all other interested stakeholders to take part in our consultation.
“The feedback from this consultation will directly inform the ECITB’s review of grant policy and any subsequent changes we make to our grant policy and processes.
“Your feedback is extremely important to us and once again I encourage you to participate.”
