Building Erection and Dismantling

The erection of structural steelwork consists of the assembly of steel components into a frame on site.

Many modern buildings, such as corporate headquarters have complex forms and highly glazed façades. Steel-framed systems can assist in constructing these as well as, for example, incorporating renewable energy technologies. In inner cities the design needs to incorporate “buildability”, identifying such items as access, prefabrication, speed of construction. The industry is increasing involved in other sectors, such as the automotive, chemical, and oil and gas.

Dismantling projects tend to be highly individual, including power stations and removal of asbestos.
