The North East of England is a region with a long proud industrial and process industry heritage. It is a place where people who are passionate about Engineering Construction live and work. In this region there is a sufficient industrial and academic intensity in Engineering based industries to make it one of the premier locations in the world for Process Industry Manufacturing. Indeed the UK 's largest petrochemical complex is based here around the UK 's largest port and storage complex. What is more a third of the UK 's Pharmaceutical GDP is produced in the region.

North East  companies continue to thrive in the North East of England. Since 2003 there has been over £1 billion of investment, in excess of 40 projects, by multinational companies in the process industry sectors alone.
