The Scotland Region covers a large geographical area with a diverse range of engineering construction activities. ECITB supports the contracting companies in the following industries: thermal power, nuclear power, hydro power, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and process. The Scottish Region has a successful long standing track record of delivering innovative initiatives with the stakeholders in the region. These include South of Scotland Training Initiative, ACE, Supervisory Apprenticeship Programme and ESF Supported Apprenticeships.

Currently, ECITB is supporting a sub-group of the Employers Forum with the launch and promotion of the Skills and Training Charter. The introduction of this Charter is to encourage Clients and Contracting Companies to put the skill shortage at the top of their agenda.
