Began in late April 2008 with the aim of strengthening the range of project management short course training available to the industry.
Plant Layout & Design
This course focuses on the specific requirements of a plant designer. The course will have 31 units, 22 of which are seen as core units.

This project has just been established to review the existing Occupational Map for the industry that was conducted in 2004.

National Occupational Standards (NOS) provide a means of describing the competence requirements of an occupation in the workplace and providing a measure for that competence. The Standards thus provide a natural basis for the development of National and Scottish Vocational Qualifications, and it is the role of Awarding Bodies to take this process forward. more
