Develop a qualification and training for Estimators

This project was established by the Estimating Working Group, one of the Off-site forum Working Groups set up by the Off-site Regional Chairman. The aims of this project is to review the current suite of Project Control National Occupational Standards and the existing Qualification Structure and assess where they fall short of meeting the competence requirements of the Estimating discipline. Once the gaps have been established, update the National Occupational Standards and the Qualification Structure and submit to the National NOS Database.

Once the standards and qualification have been updated the group will update the Project Control Level 3 TECSkills training materials to reflect the updated NOS.

The Working Group has started to identify the gaps and make recommendations for improvements and the NOS work is hoped to be finished early in 2009.
