Scotland - Research Online
Research Online has been developed by Futureskills Scotland (FSS) to provide free online access to the widest possible range of labour market reports, articles and analyses. The database currently contains around 1400 labour market reports, most of which can be downloaded to your PC in full-text format.
Research Online is targeted at those with an interest in the Scottish labour market, although it should be noted that reports are sourced from around the world.
Material for Research Online is gathered from three main sources:
- 1. key organisations active in the Scottish labour market, including those with a remit beyond Scotland
- 2. around 100 labour market websites from around the world and
- 3. over 100 economic and labour market journals.
Many Sector Skills Bodies have agreed to contribute their own research to Research Online. It is regularly updated to ensure that it contains the most up-to-date and relevant labour market research.
Research Online has been strongly supported and heavily influenced by the contributions from the Sector Skills Scottish Labour Market Group. Research Online became operational on the 4th November 2003 and is now embedded in a number of key organisations, including the Scottish Executive's Intranet and the European Structural Funds in Scotland.
The service is also available to use through the Futureskills Scotland website.
Full details of how to use Research Online are available from this website.
