Yorkshire and Humber East design competition

The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) and Yorkshire and Humber East Lifelong Learning Network (YHELLN) are looking for talented, creative students to bring our career development materials to life. Our design competition will give you the chance to demonstrate your flair and imagination by helping us to promote the exciting opportunities available to anyone looking for a successful career in engineering. We have provided the wording, now it’s up to you to bring it to life!

There will be an individual winner in each participating college, who’ll receive a YHELLN prize and automatic entry into the final competition stage to be in with a chance of winning a MacBook Pro and their design being published.

To enter the competition to win the Macbook Pro:

  1. Check the competition rules and design specification.
  2. Come up with a design for a leaflet using this text.
  3. Use the LOGOS in your designs.
  4. To accompany your design, submit a brief summary of your design concept, describing any influences or considerations for the judging panel to assess.
  5. Submit your design using the entry form by the 31st December 2008.

Graphic Design Specification – ECITB/YHELLN Competition

All entrants will be judged on their adaptation of individual style that reflects the Engineering Construction Industry and the routes of education that individuals can undertake.

ECITB & YHELLN Style Guidelines

Every design must incorporate ECITB and YHELLN logos. Please follow the two individual corporate style guidelines provided to ensure correct use.
