The focus of the Engineering Design and Procurement (EDP) region is on those companies whose main activities are engineering design and procurement.
The Region is unique in being formed of companies on the basis of their business activities rather than their geographical location, albeit many are in the Thames Valley / London area.
The current elected Chairman of the EDP Region is Stephen Hoskins of Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, who is supported by ECITB Regional Account Manager, Tracey Shelley, Account Manager, Tom Vincent and Regional Administrator, Louise Symomds.
There is one recent additions to the Region:Boustead International Heaters Ltd. This brings the total number of in-scope companies within EDP to 37.
To date, training requests from EDP employers in 2013 have continued at the high level seen in 2012.
The regional staff have supported a number of careers events, promoting apprenticeships and the industry. Some have been in collaboration with EDP employers.
