Who is it For?
Existing Design and Draughting Technicians, new entrants to the ECI in the field of D&D. D&D Support Staff and Project Work.
Course Content
Trains the learner to produce detailed engineering drawings of process plants with the use of Computer Aided Design Systems
- Health and Safety requirements specific to the activities contained within TECSkills units
- Read and extract information from engineering drawings and specifications
- Identify and assess factors which may affect design briefs
- Communicating design options
- Complete chosen engineering designs in the specialist areas of structure, piping, mechanical and electrical and instrumentation.
- Generate, evaluate and develop design options
The outcome of a Work-based training intervention is a trained worker to peformance standards.
Designed to provide a structured training route which can lead to N/SVQ assessment.
Duration: Not applicable - dependant on Individual’s and employer’s capabilities and timescales.
