Design & Draughting involves the creation of technical drawings which are a form of specialised graphic communication using computer aided design (CAD). Technical drawing, also known as draughting, is the academic discipline of creating standardised technical drawings by design engineers, architects, and related professionals.
You may specialise in mechanical, electrical, structural, piping or instrumentation designs. Although much of your work will be office based, you are occasionally likely to visit engineering construction sites, particularly if designing plant modifications.
