Power Generation

The backbone of power generation for the last 40 years, a significant proportion of existing coal-fired power stations will be ending their economic life in the next 5-10 years, with at least ten 2000 MW coal-fired generating plants needing renewal in the next few years.

ECITB meeting the Power Generation challenge

Skilled workers required for the dismantling and rebuilding programme will be met by increased training capacity for existing and new personnel in design and project management, as well craft, technical and supervisory skills.
