Nuclear
Nuclear energy accounts for 20% of UK power supplies. First and second generation plant is ageing and in need of replacement while Government plans could mean major expansion with up to 20 new nuclear reactors. The overhaul of the nuclear sector will require thousands of trained experts to decommission first and second generation power plant and commission new builds.
